Originally started at Cleckheaton Golf Club with the opening night on 10th July 2014 with the fabulous John Taylor Band. After a few months the club moved to Mick Sagar's old haunt, Buttershaw Lane Working Mens Club, Bradford. Darran & Elaine wanted to provide a venue in the area where people could enjoy live country music at it's best. There are simply not enough venues around anymore which accommodate bands and the club has become known as a great listening venue. When ballads are being sung you can hear a pin drop. We have invested in a top class P.A. and with the excellent Ian (Sammy) Sands as our resident sound engineer the music is always heard at its best.
Our resident compere is Peter Fairhead ex Classic FM D.J. We decorate the club every month and with Vince on lights we try to create a warm welcoming atmosphere. We have a brilliant friendly crowd who support the club every month.
What a brilliant night we had at this great listening club run by Darran & and Elaine Gibson who always make you welcome. The club room is always decorated with flags on the walls and tables, complete with nibbles. The stage has good lighting with a great sound system and this evening we had the man himself from Harrogate, Chris Raddings. Chris, as always, gave us a lovely set of songs including his great hit of the moment, You’re In The Shadow Of My Mind and Little Light, about his wife, Fiona and little daughter Eleanor....Read More
