The monthly Vaquero’s Club that always put on bands to keep the band scene alive is run by Darran and Elaine. The featured act on the night was Roseville, a six-piece band who are all members of staff at the Red Dog music shop in Leeds. This brilliant set of top class musicians gave an excellent show for a packed club with mainly modern Country which they performed to an amazingly high standard. Everyone of these guys is an absolute virtuoso on their instruments and the vocal harmonies were brilliant.
I could only find one fault, it was that they need to widen their scope of material if they are to appeal to a wider audience because I find the modern type of Country material is all too much of the same thing and the addition of some Country classics would have made for a more enjoyable night. They performed a lot of Blake Shelton, Chris Young, Rascal Flatts and Zac Brown Band songs, all of which were very well performed but I feel they need to put some more variety into their programme to get more work.
